About Your Dentist

Joan Hong, DDS

“You don't have to brush and floss your teeth. Only the ones you want to keep.”

My Mission

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Hong served honorably in the U.S. Army as an Active Duty general dentist for five years through a Health Professionals Scholarship Program. With her husband and two children, she relocated three times during that period and developed lifelong friendships along the way. The Hong family finally had the opportunity to choose where to live and decided that St. Louis was the perfect place to settle down. Dr. Hong loves to spend quality time with friends and family…especially when there's food involved.

“Whenever a person's oral health is not in tiptop shape, their ability to smile, communicate, and eat (my personal favorite) are immediately affected. I am honored to be able help people smile their best smile, talk and laugh with their family and loved ones, and enjoy their favorite foods.”

My Mission

“My main goal is to provide all my patients with the best possible dental care in the most relaxing environment. From simple toothaches to complex problems, from my youngest pediatric patient to my oldest geriatric patient, I strive to provide personalized and compassionate treatment for everyone. "Dentistry is great because it’s like doing arts and crafts every day. I love working with a great team to help my patients have happier, healthier smiles."

My Mission

“My career in dentistry is centered around my passion for public health and connecting with the community I serve. One of the major challenges that many people face is the lack of access to dental care.
