About Your Dentist

Joan Hong, DDS

"You don't have to brush and floss your teeth. Only the ones you want to keep."

My Mission

We often take our teeth for granted, yet they are integral to every aspect of life, from eating, talking, and smiling to determining our facial shape and signaling overall bodily health concerns.

As a dentist, I love to work collaboratively with each patient to build a healthier, happier smile. I am committed to clinical excellence, patient education, improved quality of life, and providing world-class dental treatment with integrity, compassion, and an obsessive attention to detail.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Hong served honorably in the U.S. Army as an Active Duty general dentist for five years through a Health Professionals Scholarship Program. With her husband and two children, she relocated three times during that period and developed lifelong friendships along the way. The Hong family finally had the opportunity to choose where to live and decided that St. Louis was the perfect place to settle down. Dr. Hong loves to spend quality time with friends and family…especially when there's food involved.

Lucas Winebaugh, DMD

"Whenever a person's oral health is not in tiptop shape, their ability to smile, communicate, and eat (my personal favorite) are immediately affected. I am honored to be able help people smile their best smile, talk and laugh with their family and loved ones, and enjoy their favorite foods."

My Mission

My main goal is to provide all my patients with the best possible dental care in the most relaxing environment. From simple toothaches to complex problems, from my youngest pediatric patient to my oldest geriatric patient, I strive to provide personalized and compassionate treatment for everyone. I will always make sure I am at the leading edge of dental techniques and technology so that I can meet each patient's needs in the most effective, affordable, and pain-free way possible.

Life & Hobbies

Growing up in the small town of Rochelle in northern Illinois, I was always outside playing with my parents, brother, sister, and family dog – all of which set the stage for my love of the outdoors and sports. I enjoy watching my favorite sports teams, trying new restaurants, and watching movies. Go White Sox, Bears, Raiders, Blackhawks, and Bulls!
